Really lovely lady that works there who is chatty and friendly and iffered great service. We got haddock and chips. The batter on the fish was ok but inside was chewy. The chips were really really dry, even after being drenched in vinegar, they wer frozen chips from a bag and tasted like overcooked oven chips. I've never had chips like this at a chippy. Unfortunately I didn't enjoy it - it's probably one of the worst fish and chips I've had. The location was convenient just outside the Merrion Centre and we got a table which was clean. The portion was good. If the chips were fresh cut or the fish was not chewy I would rate it higher, but I have to be honest, they should get this right considering that is the main thing they sell! The stars I've given are for the service only, which was great.
